How to fix the screen in your storm door
If you are getting tired of seeing the ugly hole in the screen
of your aluminum screen door perhaps its time you tried to fix
it yourself.
The big problem with aluminum screen doors is sometimes people
paint them and the screen frame just wont come out of the door
easily without damaging the paint job or damaging the screen
frame.
No problem, you can fix it without removing it from the door.
You still have to get the glass out from the door frame. Usually
that involves lifting it up all the way, pulling out the bottom
edge of the glass slightly then pulling it all the way down and
out.
If you have got that far you should have complete access to the
screen from the inside of the storm door. Pull out the old
plastic spline that holds the screen it, saving it if possible.
Pull out the screen material.
Cut a new piece of screen cloth three inches larger than the
opening all around and take four two-inch pieces of spline. Use
a flat blade screwdriver to poke the spline into the screen
frame to hold the cloth in at each of the four corners of the
frame. Be careful if you are using aluminum screen cloth, push
in the spline gently so as not to rip the cloth.
Once you have the cloth secured you will need to purchase a
cheap screen roller from the hardware store. One that has a
metal wheel is best. Gently start rolling the cloth into the
screen frame at one of the vertical sides and use the use the
roller to push in the spline all the way up the screen channel.
When you come to a corner you will have to remove the small
piece of spline used to hold the cloth in. and re roll the new
spline in and around the corner using the screwdriver blade to
push into the corner. Go slowly and carefully !, if you rip the
screen you will have to start from the beginnning again !
As you continue rolling in the spline across the top of the
frame, have someone support the back of the frame with their
hand, to prevent pressure on the glass window above. Continue
rolling in the spline and then just cut away the excess screen
with a utility knife. You are done !
Many screens can be repaired in place in this manner, and it
saves a trip to the glass shop and all the fuss of trying to get
the screen in and out. You wont have to put up with that
unsightly hole in the screen in the front door of your house any
longer !

Major League (DVD) Review
Featuring a motley band of eccentric baseball teammates, Major League ranks as one of the best sports comedies ever produced. Released in 1989, it follows the story of the then hapless Cleveland Indians (winners of numerous division titles in the decade since) who are inherited by their dead owner’s self-absorbed, bitchy wife, Rachel Phelps. Uncovering a clause in the team’s contract that will allow her to move the team to Miami if attendance falls below two million for the year, Phelps does everything in her power to make the Indians not just lovable losers, but the worst team in baseball history. The result is a memorable and unorthodox adventure into the annals of baseball playoff history…
Hiring Lou Brown (James Gammon), an ex-Toledo Mud Hens manager turned tire-shop manager, as the new leader of the Indians, Rachel Phelps constructs a team destined to finish in last place. It’s all part of a scheme designed to land her in the far more preferable and climate-friendly city of Miami. To keep Brown company in the dugout, she imports an entire team of oddballs, rejects, and misfits. Among them are the charismatic Willie Mays Hayes (Wesley Snipes), a lightning bolt speedster who can’t hit, Jake Taylor (Tom Berenger), an aging catcher with bad knees, Roger Dorn (Corbin Bernsen) a high-priced, low-talent free-agent acquisition, Pedro Cerrano (Dennis Haysbert), a power-hitter who can’t hit a curveball to save his life, and Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn (Charlie Sheen), a fireball pitcher who can’t hit the broad side of a barn. It all adds up to a pathetic display of baseball futility the likes of which major league baseball has never been seen before, and most likely, will never see again.
Longtime Indians announcer Harry Doyle (Bob Uecker) provides a plethora of hilarious one-liners and perfect comic relief while, with whiskey in hand, he follows a magical season in the history Cleveland’s troubled franchise. In fact, Uecker’s outtakes alone would make for an extremely entertaining sketch comedy. Off-the-field stories also crop up with Jake’s pursuit of his old flame Lynn Wells (Rene Russo), and Ricky Vaughn’s affair with rival teammate Roger Dorn’s wife Suzanne (Stacy Carroll).
But in the end, only one thing in the world can motivate this strange amalgam of rejects to develop into a contender - a mutual dislike of Rachel Phelps. Punishing the team for each win, she eventually has them flying to games in an antique bi-plane and traveling cross-country by bus. Can the team overcome their personal demons, internal conflict, and an owner determined to see them lose? It’s a load of fun finding out…
Written and directed by the multitalented David S. Ward, creator of such Academy Award-winning films as The Sting (1973) and Sleepless In Seattle (1993), Major League is an amazingly well-written comedy classic that truly delivers. As far as comedies go, you’ll be hard-pressed to find one better than this. Love of baseball is a plus, but not a necessity for one to enjoy it. In the end, a funny movie is a funny movie, and a good laugh is a good laugh. Both extend far beyond the boundaries of the sports world. As such, I wager a shot of Bob Uecker’s whiskey that you’ll fall in love with these Cleveland Indians…

Workout tip
Always start a workout by warming up. This elevates your
temperature and gets the blood circulating and the muscle warmed
up, preventing a train or other injury. You only need to do this
for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, lightly stretch all the muscles then
you will be using during your activity. After your activity,
hold each stretch for 20-30 seconds. Do it slowly and properly,
without bouncing. That stretching before and after workout can
increase overall strength gains by up to 18%. Whatever your
training frequency or routine, you have to focus on your form.
It is better to lift light weights correctly that to lift heavy
weights incorrectly. Muscles grow by slowly working your muscles
through the full range of motion, which includes a positive and
negative tension (raising and lowering the weight). You have to
perform each exercise steadily, avoiding locked joints,
exercising through the full range of motion, and remembering to
breath steadily, exhaling during the effort in raising weights.
There are many creative exercises you can do with free weights.
Anywhere from 8 to 15 repetitions are the norm for gaining
strength, shape and tone the muscle. Varying the weights, the
exercises, and frequency of your training program are all
helpful in promoting growth. Eventually you will hit a plateau,
where the muscles adapt to the routine and refuse to grow any
more. Switching you routine every once in a while prevents these
annoying plateaus and allows steady development. Don’t be a
workaholic. Don’t train feverishly thinking that more is better.
You’re better off easing into the process. You increase you
chances of success. When you lift weights, you’re actually
tearing down muscle fibers. After you’ve completed your workout
your muscle tissues begin the rebuilding process. To allow that
process to unfold properly, give your body adequate downtime in
between workouts. Never work the same muscle groups on
consecutive days, and never train a muscle group that is still
sore from a prior workout. If you want your body to change,
don’t do the same workout over and over again. If you repeat the
same workout, your body will begin to handle it without
producing an adaptive response. That’s when you reach a plateau.
The best way to avoid plateaus is by periodizing your training.
Start slow. Get enough; at least 30 minutes a day of some kind
of exercise is necessary to really feel a boost. Do intervals,
it can be especially good for energy levels. Have fun. Above
all, do the kind of exercise you enjoy the most.

Can I Get Affordable Dental Care?
In the United States most companies offer their employees dental insurance, but yet many do not. They slip through the holes of the system - the in-betweeners - that have to pay, but struggle to pay the out-of-pocket expenses.
The in-betweeners have two choices, go without any insurance, go to the dentist and take the full attack on their pocketbook, or don’t go to a dentist at all and just wait till the ax to fall. And it will - there is a 50-50 chance that a toothache will hit you, or if you’re married - your family.
HOW IMPORTANT IS DENTAL HEALTH
There is more to Dental Health than a winning smile or avoiding that terrible toothache - it is important to your overall health. Let me give you one example.
Joe Smith has just learned that he has diabetes - how can diabetes affect his teeth. If you do not maintain dental health you can be at risk for:
tooth decay
gum disease
salivary gland dysfunction
fungal diseases
infections and delayed healing
These problems can be kept in check with preventive oral health care, 6 month or yearly cleanings.
It is easy to forget our teeth, gums and mouth, but they are definitely part of our physical health and well being. And with the help of a good dental health plan - you can prevent bone disease, gum disease and infections.
DISCOUNT DENTAL PLANS
A discount dental plan can help you save money and keep your dental health in check. Dental Plans have 30 National Plans that you can choose fromthat will fit your budget and needs, and which is also offered within your state or area. For example:
GE Wellness Plan is offered in my area: The costs for the plans are:
$139.95 for single
$189.95 for family (Plus 3 additional months for free - promo)
Here are just some of the procedures - costs and your savings - (but not all)
Procedure Cost/Your Costs/Savings
Routine 6 Month Check-Up $35/$0/$35
In Depth Check-Up $58/$0/$58
Full Mouth X-Rays $101/$40/$61
Bitewings - Four Films $44/$0/$44
Single Tooth Extraction $114/$66/$48
Root Canal - Anterior $500/$336/$164
Root Canal - Bicuspid $595/$403/$192
Root Canal - Molar $740/$491/$249
White Filling $110/$67/$43
If you are single or a family, you have recouped your expenses in the first 6-month visit.
If you would like to take a look at the dental plans that are in your area, you can go to my website at http://www.myaffiliateplace.biz/Affiliate_mydentalwebsite.htm and review at your own convenience.
One last thought, if you are on vacation, and you are in need of a dentist, all you have to do is call Dental Plans and they will direct you to a dentist that is under your plan - another great saver.
To conclude, preventive care is the best method to ensure dental health, as well as, preventing an outlay of large sums of money.

Writing - How to Set Up a FrameMaker Template?
A FrameMaker template consists of a set of Master Pages.
Select File > New > Document from the top menu.
Select Portrait and create a new document.
Select View > Master Pages to switch to the master page editing screen.
The default FrameMaker document comes with a single master page named RIGHT (check the status bar at the bottom of your screen), complete with a default HEADER and a default FOOTER. In between is the default TEXT FRAME.
To modify the dimensions of the text frame, select Graphics > Tools to reveal the TOOLBOX. Select the arrow on the TOP RIGHT square, the SELECT OBJECT tool.
Click on and select the text frame. Six handles will appear on the dotted-line borders of the text frame.
Select Graphics > Object Properties.
In the dialog box, enter the WIDTH and HEIGHT of the text frame, its distance from TOP and LEFT of the page, the NUMBER OF COLUMNS you need on the page, and whether you need a ROOM FOR SIDE HEAD for your sidebar (check the check-box and then enter the WIDTH of the sidebar and the SIDE it should be on).
You are basically done. If you need a certain text to appear on the HEADER or FOOTER of every page, enter those as well.
To enter a page number, place your cursor where you want the page number to appear and then select Format > Headers & Footers > Insert Page #.
If you want a “Page X of Y” type of page number designation, do the above, enter a single space, and then select Format > Headers & Footers > Insert Page Count.
To clone a LEFT master page from your RIGHT page, select Format > Page Layout > New Master Page.
In the dialog box, give it the name LEFT, and leave the radio-button “Create from Master Page Right” as is, selected.
Click Add and voila! You have a new LEFT master page looking just like your RIGHT page.
So what’s the point?
Now you can change the positioning of the HEADER and FOOTER elements, for example, so that page numbers and Chapter headings can appear away from the “gutter” and towards the open ends of the pages.
I usually also clone one more master page from the RIGHT — the FIRST page since the first pages of all chapters always look a little different.
Once you have your three basic master pages, your rudimentary chapter template is done.
Save and return to your body pages by selecting View > Body Pages.

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam Tutorial: Server Load Balancing (SLB)
When you’re working on your BCMSN exam on your way to CCNP certification, you’ll read at length about how Cisco routers and multilayer switches can work to provide router redundancy - but there’s another helpful service, Server Load Balancing, that does the same for servers. While HSRP, VRRP, and CLBP all represent multiple physical routers to hosts as a single virtual router, SLB represents multiple physical servers to hosts as a single virtual server.
In the following example, three physical servers have been placed into the SRB group ServFarm. They’re represented to the hosts as the virtual server 210.1.1.14.
The hosts will seek to communicate with the server at 210.1.1.14, not knowing that they’re actually communicating with the routers in ServFarm. This allows quick cutover if one of the physical servers goes down, and also serves to hide the actual IP addresses of the servers in ServFarm.
The basic operations of SLB involves creating the server farm, followed by creating the virtual server. We’ll first add 210.1.1.11 to the server farm:
MLS(config)# ip slb serverfarm ServFarm
MLS(config-slb-sfarm)# real 210.1.1.11
MLS(config-slb-real)# inservice
The first command creates the server farm, with the real command specifying the IP address of the real server. The inservice command is required by SLB to consider the server as ready to handle the server farm’s workload. The real and inservice commands should be repeated for each server in the server farm.
To create the virtual server:
MLS(config)# ip slb vserver VIRTUAL_SERVER
MLS(config-slb-vserver)# serverfarm ServFarm
MLS(config-slb-vserver)# virtual 210.1.1.14
MLS(config-slb-vserver)# inservice
From the top down, the vserver was named VIRTUAL_SERVER, which represents the server farm ServFarm. The virtual server is assigned the IP address 210.1.1.14, and connections are allowed once the inservice command is applied.
You may also want to control which of your network hosts can connect to the virtual server. If hosts or subnets are named with the client command, those will be the only clients that can connect to the virtual server. Note that this command uses wildcard masks. The following configuration would allow only the hosts on the subnet 210.1.1.0 /24 to connect to the virtual server.
MLS(config-slb-vserver)# client 210.1.1.0 0.0.0.255
SLB is the server end’s answer to HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP - but you still need to know it to become a CCNP! Knowing redundancy strategies and protocols is vital in today’s networks, so make sure you’re comfortable with SLB before taking on the exam.

Summer Program For High School Students
Summer programs for high school students are meant to motivate high school students who are preparing to start their college career and will benefit from participating in various interesting and challenging subjects. The programs help the participants to develop their talents in a variety of liberal arts subjects including creative writing, humanities, arts, science, history, geography, animation, dance, music, visual arts, video, and theater. A challenging summer program for high school students helps them to increase their chances of getting into a good college.
The duration of the summer programs varies from two to five weeks. Most summer programs are designed so the students have the opportunity to explore the topics in depth, work at a challenging pace, and nurture new skills while learning topics that students of their age often do not have the chance to practice. In short, by attending summer programs students can build better communication skills, leadership qualities, increase self-confidence, gain essential international experience, and improve their global awareness. International summer programs for high school students are also offered by some organizations that take the students on an intensely moving educational journey of cultural exploration and discovery.

How to Start a Profitable Niche Marketing Business
Copyright 2006 Sandra Le Vaguereze
What does niche marketing mean? Niche marketing is about finding
small opportunities on the web, small areas in which people
might be interested and for which they might be searching. Big
companies and experienced webmasters are not interested in these
areas because they are not important enough. But a small
business could be something in which you might be interested.
Perhaps a small mini website will not generate thousands of
dollars every month; it might generate 100 bucks, for example.
That is ok, if the effort involved in terms of creating this
mini website is not too high; in this way, you could repeat the
same business model again and again. Taking into consideration
that every small business could generate around $100 every
month, with ten niches, you could earn $1.000 monthly. Does this
sound better? And what if you could create 50 websites?
The first step in this kind of business is always keyword
research. You need to find small markets which do not have
competition. Wordtrack is a very good tool to use for finding
niche opportunities. For every keyword, it tells you the number
of searches and how many results are found on each search
engine. You need to pay special attention to the KEI column. KEI
is the index that balances the number of searches and the number
of competitors. The more searches and the fewer the competitors,
the better for you. A KEI higher than 10 is good, but you
should, ideally, look at keywords with a KEI over 100. More than
400 is a gift.
Once you have identified your niche, you need to find content
for it. Don`t worry about which product you are going to sell;
this will come later. The “fuel” of any Internet business is
content. So where can you find content? Well, if you are an
expert in an area, you could write your own articles, but if you
are not, you have to look for content somewhere else.
There are many article directories that offer a lot of content
that you can use. You can also find much content just by
searching the web. Use search engines, find blogs, forums,
websites, etc. Last, but not least, you can always find
information as in “the old times,” go to the library or buy one
or two books.
After you have found enough content, it is time to register a
domain name. You should choose a name that has something to do
with your target market, but if your intention is to create
multiple mini websites, you don’t need to register a different
domain name every time. You can save money by having one global
domain name, and create sub domains for each business.
The question now is, “Since everything looks good, how do I make
money with these sites?” You need to follow this 3 step formula
(CTM):
- Create Content - Generate Traffic - Monetize your website
You can build traffic by optimizing the webpage content for the
search engines and by analyzing your competitors in order to
build a better SEO strategy (but this is another chapter).
Blogging and pinging is a way to make sure that your site will
be spidered by the search engines. Wordpress is a very good
option for creating your blog, as it allows you to post, not
only articles, but pages. You can easily build miniwebsites with
Wordpress. Finally, there are three easy ways to earn money with
your site.
1. Sell some product that you can create yourself. If you have
this ability and you want to allow people to buy your products
with a credit card, the easiest way is to create a Paypal
account. If you don’t have one, visit www.paypal.com and create
one.
2. Join affiliate programs. Find people who sell products
related to your market niche and who have affiliate programs
already set up. You will earn commissions just by selling other
people’s items. A good place to find affiliate programs on
products is www.clickbank.com.
3. Google Adsense. Create an account at Google Adsense and
include Google ads on your site. Every time someone visits your
site and clicks one of those ads, Google will share its profit
with you.
Creating small businesses is like a game. They do not require
high investment, but they will not make you rich either.
However, if you start playing many of those games, it can become
a serious business.

Thomas R. Cutler Contributes to Time Compression Technologies
Magazine in Continuing Lean Manufactur
The September/October issue of Time Compression Technologies
magazine includes a feature article, “Lean Manufacturing: How
Big is the Market? Lean Enterprise: How Much Bigger is the
Market?” authored by North America’s leading manufacturing
journalist, Thomas R. Cutler (www.trcutlerinc.com).
Cutler provided a detailed history of the lean manufacturing
marketing including how e-kanban solutions are central to an
effective lean manufacturing initiative. According to Matthew
Marotta, founder of Datacraft Solutions, “We do not charge for
upgrades to the system as we learn about new best practices that
clients ask us to incorporate. Before Datacraft incorporates the
request, it is reviewed buy a lean advisory board to validate
the value of the best practices and the value added impact upon
our partner community. Once it is passed, they develop, test,
and implement.”
The hosted solution provides the customer with their own set of
servers which are maintained offsite by and outsourced set of
administrators. All of the administration fees, equipment,
support teams and software updates are all included in the
monthly service fee which is less then the cost of hiring an
internal system administrator.
The value of an ASP is that manufacturers can buy “by the
drink”, low risk, and a see a rapid ROI. Only internet access is
required.
The non-ASP option leaves manufacturers investing a large sum
into the communication network, IT personnel, IT training,
application servers, consulting for system modification, along
with all the hidden costs that come with it. The only
disadvantage of using an ASP is the client never owns the system
(application), only their own data. This concern tends to be the
issue of IT since they want to control all phases of the
e-kanban operation. The cost of the control is wasteful and
completely antithetical to a Lean Initiative.
While some ERP systems QAD, Factory Logic, and Supply Works have
some e-kanban functionality is not their core focus, so
manufacturers are purchasing the ERP system at a significant
price tag including all the prices increases (and upgrade
charges). From the perspective of Lean functionality and
immediate ROI the cost cannot be justified, unless there is a
plan for a manufacturer to replace the ERP system.

Microsoft Great Plains - Typical Problems And Fixes - Overview For IT Administrators
How to delete the user? This is the first problem you encounter - when user shuts down the computer - Great Plains doesn’t have the command to log off the user and when user tries to login the next day - she gets error message that user is already logged on. The fix:
- Microsoft SQL Server - open SQL Query Analyzer, switch to DYNAMICS database and run the following script: DELETE ACTIVITY WHERE USERID=’KATHY’.
- Pervasive SQL/Ctree - if you have more than one user registered you can delete the user from GP: System->User Activity->Delete User. If you like to work on the file level - ask all the users to log off. On the server, where you have your Great Plains files structure - DYNAMICS is the root, in SYSTEM folder delete ACTIVITY.* files
How to unlock the batch? This happens when user posts the batch and has her computer crashed (via surfing the internet - smile - or things like this)
- General tip - Great Plains recommends to logoff and then login back with the same user id. Then Great Plains will prompt the user to recover posting batch. Unfortunately it doesn’t work in 70% of the cases
- MS SQL Server - the batch record is stored in Batch Header table: SY00500 in the company database. The fields to clear are: BCHSTTUS and MKDTOPST. In some cases you have to delete the record from SY00800 from DYNAMICS db.
- Pervasive/ctree - you have to install ODBC driver for Pervasive or Ctree and hook the tables: SY00500, SY00800 with Microsoft Access - use linked tables technique
Now we would like to stress you the need to move away from Pervasive SQL 2000/Ctree platforms - you are in trouble - Microsoft Business Solutions cuts technical support for Microsoft Great Plains 7.5 and prior on these platforms. This means not only the support, but also tax updates (especially Payroll and Federal Magnetic Media).
What is migration from Ctree/Pervasive.SQL 2000 to MS SQL/MSDE? MBS has migration tool. You need first to install Great Plains on SQL Server with exactly the same account/segments structure and then install migration tool (it is Dexterity chunk) on your ctree/Pervasive workstation - then, when you integrate the chunk - you will map it to target SQL-based Great Plains Company, select all system and company tables, click the button and it will move all your tables one-by-one. In the case when your Great Plains ctree/Pervasive has third parties - you need to check if the vendor has migration tool - otherwise you have to do manual move, use SQL Linked server to your legacy data
Do I need consultant? It is probably good idea to have consultant to do the upgrade. We strongly recommend you to use consultant in the following cases
- You have Dexterity customization
- You are doing migration from Pervasive/Ctree to Microsoft SQL Server/MSDE, especially when you have third-parties without migration tools
- You have a lot or ReportWriter Modified Great Plains Reports
- You have old version of Great Plains: Dynamics or eEnteroprise 6.0 or prior - in this case you can not appeal to Microsoft Technical Support - it is discontinued
- Your Great Plains has more than 20 users and you have to have upgrade done over the weekend - if it fails - you have business problems
- You don’t have support - in this case you have to select your Microsoft Business Solutions Partner and pay for the annual support/enhancement plan - you will get new registration key and will be ready for the upgrade
