Although better known freeze high heeled strappy numbers, the designer shoemaker has teamed up with traditional Wellington bootmaker Hunter, to design and produce what could possibly be termed the most fashionable Wellington boots ever.

Come July 22 of this year, over 4000 fashionistas will receive a posh Wellington boots which they had been on a waiting list for.

Hunters Green wellies, and favourite of the Queen, are making quite a departure from the normal Wellington boot designs. The top end boots are to be made of glossy black rubber with an embossed Jimmy Choo favourite, of crocodile print.

The boots are to have a gold buckle at the top and the leopard print lining, which purchasers of the boot will find repeated on the inside of their presentation box.

The supposed inspiration for these posh Wellington boots was celebrity and festival goers including Kate Moss, who was spotted at Glastonbury in 2005 sporting her old Hunters with hot pants.

Tatler magazine are running an article about the sexiness of country life, which will be accompanied by photos of Liz Hurley wearing the new designer Wellington boots. Ex The OC actress and style icon Rachel Bilson has also been spotted sporting a pair of the new wellies.

According to sources in the two weeks that the waiting list for these boots has been opened, £1 million worth of orders have been taken.
