Intelius’ founders and community leaders, Naveen Jain and his wife Anu Jain are noted throughout the industry as accomplished givers. Aside from focusing on being the number one provider of intelligence services and identity theft prevention solutions, it is also one of the very few companies constantly involved in philanthropy. In fact, Intelius is included in the list of the Puget Sound area’s top 15 corporate philanthropists.

Incorporated into Intelius’ core are programs that are in line with the company’s philanthropic goals that include encouraging the entire workforce to delve into works of charity. In an effort to persuade its employees to take part in its philanthropic endeavors, the company has promised to match the total amount donated by its workers to its choice of eligible nonprofits. Along with this, Intelius also inspires its employees to allocate some of their time in doing volunteer work at their favorite foundation. The total number of hours rendered would then be considered as paid leave.

Up to now, the Jains have offered an ample amount of their energy, time and money to a total of 50 charities within and outside Washington. The beneficiaries of their generosity varies from foundations dedicated to the environment, to children or to Naveen Jain’s homeland India, such as Pratham, Kindering care, Child Rights and You, United Way, Tree House, Seattle Children’s Hospital, United Way, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, Olive Crest, Overlake Service League, National Network to End Domestic Violence, Youthcare, and Children’s Hospital Circle of Care.

Apart from that, the University of Washington also benefited from Intelius’ and the Jains’ philanthropy. In favor of a scholarship endowment program, the school received an estimated $170,000 from the company and the couple.

In 2008, despite the rocky economic condition, Intelius significantly increased its donations to various institutions. The company’s contributions amounted to more than $200,000 for that year alone.
